Delete your account

You can delete your Kuvajmo account in the app, or on this page without installing or signing in to anything. Either way it is the same deletion, with the same rules.

In the app

Open Kuvajmo, go to your account and choose "Delete account". We send a code to the email address of your account; enter it to confirm. Your open reservations have to be finished first (see below).

Deleted right away

The moment the deletion is confirmed:

Your name, phone number and email address are taken off the account.
Your allergy profile and fitness goal are erased.
Your bank account details are erased.
You are signed out on every device, and push notifications stop.
Your notifications, notification settings and feature overrides are erased.
Your recurring offers and the dishes you never published are erased. Offers with no open reservations are cancelled.
Your unused invite codes stop working.
Your kitchen address, address notes, exact location, pet and cross-contact notes and kitchen photos are erased.
Your public profile and kitchen page disappear, and nobody can message you.
The people you blocked and the people who blocked you: those blocks are erased.

What stays, anonymised, and why

Other people rely on some of the records that involve you, so those stay, with nothing that identifies you. To everyone else your account shows as "deleted account".

Reservations you took part in, as an eater or as a cook, because the other person's history depends on them.
Reviews you wrote or received, because they are part of other people's reputation.
Messages you sent, because they are half of someone else's conversation.
Reports, so the moderators' records still add up.
Dishes you published are archived, and their versions stay, because past reservations point at them.
Your kitchen keeps only its neighbourhood and an approximate point, for the same reason.
Your email address is kept only as a one-way hash (a scrambled fingerprint that can't be turned back into the address) with a masked hint (a few letters and the domain). That way a ban still holds after deleting: banned people can't come back by deleting and signing up again. Unless the account was banned, the address is free to sign up with again.

Open reservations come first

An account can't be deleted while it has a reservation that is requested or confirmed and whose pickup isn't over yet, whether you are the eater or the cook: the other person is counting on it. Cancel those reservations in the app (the other person is told), or wait until pickup is over. Admin accounts can't be deleted here.
